We make French creative, cross curricular and enjoyable with a strong emphasis is practical scenarios, encouraging pupils to have the confidence to experiment with language. We start in Year 3 with basic greetings and move on to Year 6 where we aim to have our children holding a conversation over a few sentences. Preparing our pupils to communicate in a different language opens up their world to other cultures and generates an interest in the wider world.
